How to Retrieve Plesk Admin Password
 
Plesk Onyx (Windows Only)
  1. Open command prompt
  2. Type plesk sbin plesksrvclient -get
Alternatively on Plesk Onyx:
 
Plesk 12.5
  1. Open command prompt
  2. Type plesk sbin plesksrvclient -get
 
Plesk 12 and below
  1. Login to your server through Remote Desktop.
  2. Click on Start > Run.  Type cmd and press Enter.  A black DOS window will appear.
  3. Type cd %plesk_bin% and press Enter.
  4. Type plesksrvclient -get and press Enter.  Your Plesk admin password will be displayed and be copied to your clipboard so you can paste it into the password field.
How to Change the Plesk Admin Password
  • In Plesk 12.x

  • Via Command Line
Change Password in Plesk 12.x
  1. Login to Plesk using Admin as the username and the retrieved password (Ctrl-V to paste).
  2. Under My Profile on the left navigation window click on Change Password.
  3. Enter the existing password in the Old password field.
  4. Type a new, strong password in the Password field and then enter it again in the Confirm password field.
  5. Press OK to save the new password.
 
Change Password in Plesk 11.x
  1. Login to Plesk using Admin as the username and the retrieved password (Ctrl-V to paste).
  2. Under My Profile on the left navigation window click on Change Password.
  3. Enter the existing password in the Old password field.
  4. Type a new, strong password in the Password field and then enter it again in the Confirm password field.
  5. Press OK to save the new password.
Change Password in Plesk 9.x
  1. Login to Plesk using Admin as the username and the retrieved password (Ctrl-V to paste).
  2. Under Main Menu click on Settings.
  3. Click on Change Password.
  4. Paste the existing password in the Old password field.
  5. Type a new, strong password in the Password field and then enter it again in the Confirm password field.
  6. Press OK to save thew new password.
Command Line Option to Change Admin Password
  1. Click on Start > Run.  Type cmd and press Enter.  A black DOS window will appear.
  2. Type cd %plesk_bin% and press enter.
  3. Type plesksrvclient and press enter.  
  4. The Set Plesk Admin Password dialog box will appear. Enter a New Password and press OK. Make sureChange Admin password in Plesk SQL Server is checked.
  5. Click Yes at the prompt that asks if you are sure you want to change Plesk Admin password.
