Dear Valued Customers,
We would like to address a current industry-wide issue regarding UCEPROTECT listings. If your IP is listed in UCEPROTECT Level 3 (L3), please be assured that this will not impact your email delivery.
However, it is important to ensure that your IP is not listed on UCEPROTECT Level 1 (L1) or Level 2 (L2) to avoid any potential issues. This situation is not unique to us or our upstream provider; it is affecting the entire hosting industry. UCEPROTECT has been issuing mass-blacklists across multiple hosting providers, and this is a known and widespread issue.
Unfortunately, UCEPROTECT has been engaging in practices that many consider extortion, demanding payments for delisting and blacklisting entire Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) without valid reasons. Thankfully, many email providers no longer rely on UCEPROTECT for determining email delivery, making it generally safe to ignore their listings.
For context, even large companies like Sucuri, a brand of GoDaddy, have been affected by this issue. Sucuri has shared their frustrations in a blog post, which you can read here: https://blog.sucuri.net/2021/02/uceprotect-when-rbls-go-bad.html
Due to UCEPROTECT's questionable practices, many mail providers have ceased to regard them as a reliable source for Real-time Blackhole Lists (RBL). As long as you have proper email setups, such as a warmed-up domain, DKIM/SPF records, and PTR, you should not experience significant issues.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
