Rest easy knowing those critical emails aren’t going anywhere.

The Email Archiving feature allows users to save incoming, outgoing, or mailing list messages  or a specified amount of time. The messages are stored under the mail directory in the user’s home directory.

Each day, a new directory is generated using the achivetype.YYYY-MM-DD format. All messages for the specified archive type are stored in this folder, and messages can be viewed from the cPanel interface, as well as a mail client.

Changes to your email archiving include selecting the type you want archived; incoming, mailing lists, outgoing, as well as the length of time the mail will be archived. You also have the option of enabling default mail configuration.

On an IMAP connection, emails can be viewed through MacOS® Mail.app® (pre-10.7), MacOS® 10.7 Mail.app® (?Lion?), Postbox®, Mozilla Thunderbird®, KDE Kmail, Microsoft Outlook 2000® for Windows®, Microsoft 2007® for Windows®, Microsoft 2010® for Windows®, Microsoft Outlook Express® for Windows®, and Windows Live Mail®.
